External Device Servers Discovery and Auto-Connection Settings

These options define how LinkServer works with External Device Servers.

Enable auto-discovery of Device Servers

Key name in the configuration file: extDssAutoDiscoveryEnabled

Value type: Boolean

Possible values: true or false

Default value: true

If this option is enabled, LinkServer periodically checks for Device Servers that are visible in a local network by sending broadcast commands.

Device Servers auto-discovery period (seconds)

Key name in the configuration file: extDssAutoDiscoveryPeriod

Value type: Integer

Possible values: 1 or more

Default value: 600

This option defines how often LinkServer performs auto-discovery of Device Servers.

Auto-connect local Device Servers to LinkServer

Key name in the configuration file: extDssAutoConnectLocal

Value type: Boolean

Possible values: true or false

Default value: false

When enabled, this option forces LinkServer to attempt configuring every discovered Device Server so it would connect to the server.
