Upgrade

To upgrade LinkServer to the new version, please follow this instructions carefully in order to protect server database from being corrupted:

1. Stop all AggreGate Clients
2. Stop LinkServer or service if server is running in the Windows Service Mode
3. Backup the database. Refer to your database server's administration manual for details. If you are using LinkServer embedded database, just back up the /db folder of LinkServer installation.
4. Upgrade server by running the installer of the new version
5. Upgrade all installations of AggreGate Client
6. Upgrade firmware of all Device Servers if necessary
7. Upgrade firmware of all Devices if necessary
8. Start server or service
9. Check server log to make sure that server has been started successfully and database was upgraded
10. Start Clients
