Manufacturing Execution System and Overall Equipment Effectiveness Tracking

Used as a foundation for AggreGate SCADA/HMI, AggreGate IoT Plaform provides numerous data processing and visualization tools that help to amend SCADA solutions with functionality of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

MES solutions use "raw" controller-provided tags and calculated tags for modeling various process KPIs, such as availability, performance and quality indicators. Process and object modeling module of AggreGate helps binding custom KPIs to SCADA tags, providing very high level of KPI evaluation intelligence.

Since all industrial processes are pretty unique, MES functionality is in most cases hardly deliverable out-of-the-box. With AggreGate, you have all tools to tailor production/process planning and auditing to your custom requirements. Those tools include:

  • Models for introducing calculated metrics and binding them to source values via user-defined business rules
  • Expressions for defining custom KPI formulas capable of analyzing numbers, strings, dates, tables and any other values within AggreGate's Unified Data Model
  • Queries for executing SQL-like requests on the Unified Data Model with respect to operator's access permissions
  • Classes for keeping production order data

Generic reporting module and integrated report editor allow production reports to be based upon any source values, such as production batch history or performance analysis data.

The MES module is also responsible for managing scheduled and tracking unexpected downtime. Precise downtime control adds score points to overall visibility, helping to improve process quality statistics reporting. Since SCADA and MES work on the same AggreGate core, all alerts will be automatically suppressed during scheduled downtime.

Comprehensive analitycal functionality of the Platform allows evaluating Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of your processes, subdividing source factors and resulting values by products and operators. You can also figure out individual influence of Six Loss factors to the resulting OEE numbers.
